Through ESEF Grupo Ecos currently holds a minority stake in The Wind Turbine Company(WTC). WTC was founded to design, manufacture, and sell wind turbines capable of producing competitively priced electricity without the need for subsidization. WTC’s focus is on designing and manufacturing wind turbines. Their targeted customers are wind farm developers and others who wish to generate lower cost wind energy.

WTC’s engineering team has created proprietary computer codes to design turbine components and analyze system performance. WTC has invested $15 million developing our state-of-the-art wind turbines, a revolutionary 2-blade, downwind wind turbine.

WTC’s patented design allows to safely reduce the amount of material used in our turbines by 40-to-50% compared with similarly rated upwind turbines. They enjoy even greater material reduction advantages compared with larger machines on the market. This advantage will enable WTC to profitably sell our turbines for less than the manufacturing cost of today's leading wind turbines.
